The August 1 Deadline: What You Need to Know
To join the 2026 MSSP performance year, CMS requires all practices to complete Phase 1 documentation by August 1, 2025 at 12:00 PM ET. This includes finalizing your participant TIN, selecting your SNF waiver status, and submitting your repayment mechanism and banking details.
Missing this window means postponing your participation until 2027—delaying access to shared savings, infrastructure support, and your path forward in value-based care.
